Nampa city to conclude irrigation season on Oct. 4

According to a recent news release, the City of Nampa will shut down its irrigation system for the season on Wednesday, Oct. 4. As the irrigation districts near the end of their allotment, each determines when they will shut off the water to customers, which includes the City of Nampa.

The City of Nampa receives water from three irrigation districts: Pioneer Irrigation District, Nampa and Meridian Irrigation District and Boise-Kuna Irrigation District. While Nampa and Meridian Irrigation District and Boise-Kuna Irrigation District are tentatively scheduled to end their season on Oct. 10, the City of Nampa needs water delivery from all three irrigation districts to run its pressurized system.
