- After graduating from the University of Houston, Sarah started working at News24Houston and KTRK ABC13. She would then move to Lafayette, Louisiana, where she worked as a reporter and Weekend Anchor for the KLFY station.
- While working at various news stations, she made a point of learning everything that went into broadcasting news, from anchoring, reporting to editing and producing. She has never backed down from a challenge, and it is no wonder that her work has earned her quite a few accolades that include 4 Associated Press Awards.
- In April 2010, Forgany decided to move back to Texas, and she joined the team at KENS 5, working as a journalist and reporter. Since joining the team, she has worked in and out of Texas, covering both local and international headlines.

She has also attended and covered various festivals and special effects across the state and country, including Mardi Gras and Fourth of July celebrations.
