Andrea Agnelli salary and net worth

July 2024 · 2 minute read

Italian business mogul Andrea Agnelli was born on December 6, 1975.

After the Italian Football Federation launched a Financial Accounts Probe, which revealed “astonishing” indicators of wrongdoing, Agnelli held the position of chairman of Italian football club Juventus F.C. until his departure on November 28, 2022.

His first cousin John Elkann nominated him chairman of the Juventus board of directors in May 2010, making him the fourth member of the Agnelli family to oversee the soccer team after his father, uncle, and grandpa. Juve supporters had criticized Elkann for the team’s underwhelming performance in the 2009–10 campaign, and many ultras believed Agnelli to be the “rightful” succession because of his family’s lengthy affiliation with the team.

He is credited with overseeing the club’s transition into the new stadium and balancing their finances in the wake of the ongoing recession ravaging Italy, despite taking the position at a time when the club was still dealing with the fallout from the infamous Calciopoli scandal.

The appointment of Giuseppe Marotta as Sampdoria’s director of sport and Luigi Delneri as the club’s new coach was one of his first acts as the new chairman.

At the moment, Agnelli makes 520 000 euros in total per season. Included in this are 450k for his presidency, 35k for his position as club director, and various bonuses.
